Regional Director
Job Description
Weatherization Management Group is seeking experienced and capable Regional Directors to join our residential energy efficiency business. Regional Directors are responsible for overseeing the regional operations associated with the weatherization of single family and multi-family dwellings. Weatherization involves improving the energy efficiency of existing households, including insulation installation, window replacement, general building envelope repair, HVAC improvements and appliance upgrades. Our customers include government agencies, utility companies, municipalities and energy auditing firms. All work is performed according to U.S. Department of Energy guidelines.
Responsibilies
- Manage relationships and serviceability to all customers (i.e. government agencies, utilities, municipalities, energy auditing firms) and enforce strict compliance with all client policies and processes
- Consistent and accurate tracking and reporting of regional production
- Maintain complete and accurate data in the companies custom project management and material tracking software package
- Completing and staying abreast of all federal, state and local training and certifications for weatherization work
- Recruiting and supervising subcontractors
- Solicitation of subcontractor pricing and proposals and successful negotiation scopes of work
- Pre- and post-meetings with homeowners in order to verify work to be performed and sign-off on completed work
- Regularly visiting with and updating customers (i.e. government agencies, utilities, municipalities, energy auditing firms) regarding job performance
- Working closely with energy auditors and home inspectors
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work crews efficiently and effectively
- Able to schedule and coordinate the manufacturing and installation of multiple building materials with a focus on maximizing production and efficiency
- Tracking work progress and production rates for weekly performance reporting
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in project management, construction, general contracting or residential services
- Desire to improve the lives of low-income households through upgrading the energy efficiency of the household.
- Self-motivated and comfortable to working in both the field and in the office
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word and and have general understanding of database operations and data entry
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Passionate about energy efficiency and helping low-income households is a plus

Weatherization Management Group (WMG) is a Dallas-based company focused on large scale residential energy efficiency improvements. WMG.s current focus is executing on federally funded Weatherization Assistance Program contracts to perform low-income weatherization work throughout the southwest U.S. WMG has received more federal stimulus contracts to perform this work than any other company in the southwest. Additionally, WMG is focused on performing large scale residential energy efficiency projects for utilities, municipalities and energy auditors.
