Weatherization Worker
Job Description
Weatherization work includes building envelope repair and upgrades focused on improving the energy efficiency of single family homes and multifamily buildings.
Responsibilies
- Remove, install, and replace various building materials as directed. including doors, windows, insulation, flooring, skirting, vents, caulking, weather stripping and roofing.
- Utilizes appropriate carpentry skills and techniques to install building materials.
Requirements
- General carpentry experience
- Proven ability to work efficiently
- Knowledge of and demonstrated safe use of all necessary tools
- Able to understand and follow direction
- Willing and capable of learning new tasks
- Able to function without direct supervision
- Able to perform required manual labor, including ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must know proper lifting techniques and be in general good health
- Must wear common protective and safety equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Weatherization Technical Certification
